By creating an account or using BadBurrow, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Who Can Use BadBurrow
You must be at least 18 years old to visit and use BadBurrow. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this age requirement.
Creator accounts are invite-only. Fan accounts are open to anyone who meets the age requirement.
Your Content
You own everything you post. BadBurrow does not claim ownership of your artwork, videos, or writing.
By posting content, you grant BadBurrow a limited licence to store, display, and distribute your content to other users on the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to post anything you upload. Do not post content you do not own or have permission to share.
What We May Remove
BadBurrow may remove content or suspend accounts for the following reasons:
- Violation of these terms or our Content Policy
- Receipt of a valid DMCA takedown notice
- Content that is illegal under applicable law
- Content that poses a risk of harm to others
- Abuse, harassment, or targeted conduct toward other users
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you when action is taken against your account, except where doing so is prohibited or would cause harm.
No Liability for User Content
BadBurrow is a platform for user-generated content. We do not review all content before it is posted and are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or quality of what users share.
To the extent permitted by law, BadBurrow is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including content posted by other users.
Termination
You may close your account at any time.
BadBurrow may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason, at any time.
On termination, your content may be removed from the platform. Some residual data may remain in backups for a period before full deletion.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data BadBurrow collects, how it is used, and your rights around it.
What We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your chosen username and display name
- Profile information you choose to provide (bio, avatar, links)
If you connect a Patreon account, we also collect your Patreon membership tier, which is used to unlock perks on the platform.
When you use BadBurrow, we may collect basic usage data such as which pages you visit, for the purpose of keeping the platform running and secure. We do not build behavioural profiles or use this data for advertising targeting.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your profile and content to other users
- Verify your Patreon tier and apply associated perks
- Send you essential account communications (e.g. password resets)
- Maintain platform security and prevent abuse
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
Third-Party Services
BadBurrow uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Backblaze B2 — image and file storage
- Cloudflare — CDN, video hosting, and DNS
- Patreon — OAuth login and tier verification (only if you choose to connect)
We do not share your data with any third parties beyond what is necessary to operate these services.
Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, your personal data and content will be deleted. Some data may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before being purged.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Cookies
BadBurrow uses only functional cookies required for login sessions. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Content Policy
BadBurrow is a community for machinima artists and fans. These rules exist to keep it a place people actually want to be.
What Is Allowed
- Original artwork, machinima, short films, and photography created in Second Life
- Journal entries, character sheets, and creative writing
- NSFW content, where the post is flagged accordingly (see below)
- Fan art of original characters, with appropriate credit
- Collaborative and community work, where all contributors are credited
What Is Not Allowed
- Stolen art. Posting work that is not yours without explicit permission from the creator is not allowed, regardless of credit. If you cannot obtain permission, do not post it.
- Real people. Content depicting real, identifiable individuals in a sexualised, defamatory, or harmful context is prohibited.
- Illegal content. This includes anything that violates applicable law, including but not limited to content that sexually depicts minors in any form, real or fictional.
- Harassment. Content created with the intent to target, humiliate, or intimidate a specific person is not permitted.
- Spam and deceptive content. Misleading posts, fake accounts, or content designed to manipulate other users are not allowed.
NSFW Content
Adult content is permitted on BadBurrow and must be flagged per post using the NSFW toggle at upload. Unflagged NSFW content may be removed. NSFW content involving illegal content is prohibited without exception and will result in immediate account termination.
Art Theft
We take art theft seriously. If you see your work posted without your permission, submit a report or send a DMCA notice to [email protected]. We will review and act promptly. Repeat offenders will be permanently removed from the platform.
How Reports Are Handled
Reports can be submitted across the platform and will be reviewed by a human. A user can receive up to three strikes before facing account deletion. If you need to report something and there is no report button present, please email [email protected]. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe and take all reports seriously.
BadBurrow is in early development and these policies are subject to change.
DMCA & Copyright Policy
BadBurrow respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on BadBurrow infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice using the process below.
How to Submit a Takedown Notice
Send your notice to our designated copyright agent at [email protected]. Your notice must include:
- Your full legal name and contact information (email, mailing address, phone number)
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL or sufficient description to locate the infringing content on BadBurrow
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Incomplete notices may not be actioned. We will respond to valid notices promptly and remove or disable access to the identified content.
Counter-Notice Process
If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to [email protected]. Your counter-notice must include:
- Your full legal name and contact information
- Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your area, or if outside the United States, to the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which BadBurrow may be found
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the content after 10–14 business days, unless the complainant files a court action.

Safe Harbour Statement
BadBurrow operates as a hosting platform for user-generated content. We do not pre-screen content before it is posted and are not liable for infringing content uploaded by users. We act promptly upon receiving valid takedown notices and maintain a policy of terminating repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances, in accordance with the safe harbour provisions of the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512).
Repeat Infringers
Accounts that are subject to multiple valid copyright complaints will be permanently suspended from BadBurrow.
